Year 6, along with the rest of the school, planted their ceramic poppies in the St Aidan’s Memorial Garden today. We each made a poppy from clay, several weeks ago, and then they were taken away to be fired in the kiln and painted red. Today we got to see the final result and, after a service at St Chad’s, we planted them in remembrance of those who have suffered or been lost in wartime. The memorial garden looks very effective; come and take a look.IMG_8230 IMG_8262 IMG_8267 IMG_8273 IMG_8633 IMG_8639 IMG_8643 IMG_8632 IMG_8634
