This week in year one we have been reading the poem called “Little Boy Blue”. Its about a lazy boy who lives on a farm and the animals who try to wake him up. The poem uses lots of rhyme and alliteration.

In small groups we acted out different parts of the story, we have some amazing actors and actresses in year one! This is how the rhyme goes if you would like them to show you…

Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn.
The sheep’s in the meadow, the cow’s in the corn.
Where is the boy that looks after the sheep?
“He’s under the haycock, fast asleep.”
Who will wake him? “No, not I;
For if I do, he’ll be sure to cry.”
