Year 6 visited Safety Works where they learned lots of life skills and how to be safe in certain situations. They visited a metro line and got to see how big a metro really was; also on the agenda was a visit to a supermarket and the steps the police would take children through if they got arrested for shoplifting; road safety was interesting as the children were reminded all about making themselves seen to drivers; safety in the home was eye opening as the children learned how quickly a fire could spread from simply charging a phone underneath a pillow; the final activity was how to put someone in the recovery position and what to do if someone was choking.
