As part of our DT topic Wartime food, Year 2 have been baking carrot biscuits.

The children first talked about what equipment and ingredients they would need. They then followed the correct numbered steps to make some delicious biscuits.

At first some of us thought that the biscuits would not taste nice with them having carrot inside but once baked almost everyone thought they were scrumptious!

Whilst evaluating our carrot biscuits, we talked about something that we could change the next time we made them. Some of the children thought it would be a good idea to not use as much sugar in the recipe, with sugar being a rationed food during World War 1.
