As part of Science week, Year 5 visited Washington Wetland Trust.  We started off our visit with pond dipping.  This was great fun and we all managed to catch lots of insects and exciting beast in our dishes. Next, we went with our catch to the next room where we looked at the insects using a microscope to enlarge them on to a television screen.  After this, we had a guided tour around the wetlands looking at the many birds that live there.  Finally, we finished off our tour with a visit to the Otters to watch them being fed – this was amazing!
