Today, Year 2 visited the Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh, Northumberland.
When we arrived at the museum we took part in a workshop which focused on Grace Darling’s life before and after she became famous. We answered riddles, questions and talked about life then and life now. The children also had the chance to dress up in Victorian clothing.
After lunch, we walked to Grace Darling’s headstone in St. Aidan’s churchyard. We stood quietly around her headstone and thought about her family.
Our school has a new friend too! Our very own Angel of the North. She is spending time with lots of boys and girls on trips, visiting places she has never been before. Can you spot her in any of our photographs?
