What an amazing week we have had here in Year 5!  On Monday, we started our week off with a visit from one of our parents, who told us lots of interesting facts about her country Kurdistan, she even made and brought in a traditional pudding for us all… yum!  On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have ‘The Lions of Zululand’ visit our school. We took part in workshops throughout the day.  First, we learnt some words in their language and after they taught us a traditional song and dance.  Throughout the week in Year 5, we have been researching and learning all about the country ‘Ireland’.  We created some fantastic artwork and found out some interesting facts and traditions about Ireland.  We ended our topic about Ireland by learning a dance. We were amazing Irish dancers performing the Lord of the Dance to the whole school. Take a look at some of our fantastic work below…
