This morning Mr Cochrane led an informative and entertaining assembly on Internet Safety. He discussed the SMART rules and gave advice on using social media. Children were wowed at seeing how easy it is for an adult to pretend they are a child on social media. Remember, followers does not mean you are popular! Do you know all your followers? By giving out your name and a photo of your school badge could mean a stranger can find out where your house is within 5 clicks!

There are nearly 4 billion people online in the world so it is important to lock any social media accounts to private. It is worth checking regularly as updates can sometimes reset them. Ask Mr Thorogood if you are unsure.

Parents, don’t forget about our NSPCC parent assembly on Thursday 24th May.

Remember the SMART rules and stay safe online.
