This half term in art we are focusing on the seaside artwork of a local artist called Zoe Emma Scott. This afternoon Year 2 were so lucky because Zoe Emma Scott actually came in to work with us on our own painting inspired by her artwork. She told us a little about her job as an artist and explained the process of planning and creating her paintings, from sketching outlines to adding detail with felt tip pens then painting the larger areas. We enjoyed using the different techniques to create some fantastic, colourful and bright paintings of seaside scenery. It was great to have Zoe here at St Aidan’s to give us some helpful tips. Maybe some children in Year 2 will become artists in the future!
