Today Year 1 enjoyed the sunshine at Tynemouth beach. We went to the beach as we have been learning about seaside holidays in the past as part of our History topic. The children took buckets and spades and had a fantastic time building sandcastles and burying their feet in the sand. To cool down we had delicious ice cream from The View cafe. We are going to compare seaside holidays in the past to seaside holidays today in our next History lesson. We were also very lucky and got to visit Blue Reef Aquarium. We had a rock pool workshop and got to feel and learn all about starfish and crabs. We watched a very entertaining seal show too. We all agree that seaside holidays today are very fun!
