Today we celebrated the European Day of Languages by taking part in a whole-school assembly led by Miss Sutcliffe and Mr Dunnigan. We discussed why it is important for us to learn other languages and learnt a fun number song counting to ten in Italian! In Year 2 we then talked about what a passport is and why we need one. We learnt about all of the information that is shown on our passports and the importance of keeping our passports safe when we are away on holiday in another country. We really enjoyed making our own passports and some of us even joked that we would take them on our next holiday with us!
