In our History lessons we have been learning about life in the past and explored areas such as home life, school life and toys. On Friday we visited Beamish Museum to get a real feel of what life was like living in the past. We completed a traditions of Christmas workshop in the ‘home farm’ farmhouse. We found out exactly what we would receive at Christmas if we were living in the past. Whilst we were there we made cinnamon biscuits, played traditional Christmas games such as find the thimble and made peg decorations. Next we visited the old school and discussed the similarities and differences between our school now and schools in the past. After a very busy and exciting day, we walked through the forest to go and see Santa Claus and his reindeer. Good news, Santa told us we were all on the good list.
