We are very excited to be taking part in Elmer’s Great North Parade this year in support of the fantastic local charity, St Oswald’s Hospice.
Do you remember the Snowdog trail in 2016? This year, the North East will be taken over by a herd of fabulous and unique elephants, all decorated and designed by a range of different people. We are fortunate enough to have our very own St Aidan’s mini Elmer in school ready to decorate in our own unique way.
Karen, from St Oswald’s Hospice, came into school to share the exciting news with the children and reveal our Elmer sculpture. She explained the fantastic work that St Oswald’s does and we will be working together to raise as much money as we can to support this amazing cause.
We are looking forward to working as a school to prepare our elephant ready to go on display as part of Elmer’s Great North Parade in August.
We will keep you up to date with our progress and let you know as soon as we know whereabouts our Elmer will be situated so as many of you can visit him as possible.
