The School Day
At St Aidan’s we adopt an open registration where children can be dropped off at 8:40am for a 8:50am start. During this time the children will be able to improve their English or Maths skills with an activity they complete in class. After registration the children take part in Wake Up Shake Up which is a sports programme based on improving gross motor skills….. and waking any sleepy children up. The school morning consists of the children being taught Maths, English and Basic Skills. We are very fortunate to have iPads in school which are used to support this learning. We have a staggered lunchtime so that it can run smoothly, with children being given time to socialise and enjoy their lunches. Afternoons follow a creative curriculum which is topic based. A range of after school clubs are offered during the school year, as well as lunchtime clubs.
